Elephant panel

Elephant panel
Second panel I have made, this one much trickier than the first as I used 3mm lead for a lot of the detail and there were no straight edges. There are a few minor glass chips that are visible on the underside but as only the second piece I've made I'm really happy with it.

First ever panel

First ever panel
This is the first panel I have made since doing a weekend stained glass course. It is a panel for my nephew and I certainly learnt a lot whilst making it; what shapes of glass are hard to cut, how cutting sharp angles on lead is a pain, soldering needs improving!

I made this one for my wife last year. The background is Lins, the flowers drapery.

Misc Snowflake At home In winter Jan. 2012

Misc Snowflake At home In winter Jan. 2012
My take on a snowflake, made in 2008, inspired by a photo by Cal Tech's Kenneth Libbrecht and made with permission. This represents about the center third of the actual snowflake, uses five types of clear glass (including small bits of iridescent) plus some light blue GNA and dark blue German antique.

The piece is a hexagon about 22'' point-to-point with hanging loops at each corner for options and variety.

At the center is a black opal contributed by my wife, Elinor who also helped with grinding & foiling. I'll try to post a pic of that, too.

Iris Table Lantern, Mosaic Table and Ceramic Wolves
Here's another table lantern, on a mosaic table with ceramic hand-painted wolves: the lantern is new, the table and wolves I did a while back.

Way more complicated! My first reticello!

Way more complicated! My first reticello!
Yes, I sweated and fretted while making this one, and it was not the heat, but the stress!  But I did it, this is my first reticello, using that nice pink-based color scheme.
