I know this is a very old thread I am reviving but I felt so bad when I read how many members struggled with cutting glass bottles. I have been cutting and re-purposing them for more than 2 decades. I tried every process ever published on the net and none of them worked as well I as needed them to. So after much R&D I came up with a process I believe is the most reliable, repeatable, and successful at producing perfect cuts 100% of the time. It works with bottles of all thicknesses, all labels (paper, plastic, and applied ceramic) and best of all it does not use any torches, saws, no propane, no butane, no nichrome wires, no combustibles. If anyone is interested I have posted a video on Youtube here:  https://www.youtube....28BZPcX9A?rel=0

Cheers, Murray

Great Post, Thanks. It looks as easy as sawing it in half. and a lot less tools.
